The Program.
Just before the start of the 2009 Arizona Aloha Festival, with the help
of one of the booth owners, Deborah (see below), we managed to
obtain a copy of the program, and since this information was not
available on the official website, we included it here. There is
so much history included, along with recognition of volunteers,
advertisements by local Hawaii oriented businesses, and so forth that
it seems reasonable to leave it here for any who might find this
information useful. If you'd like to have a copy of the program
as a PDF file, we've provided a copy in that form also (here's the
link).
Below, you'll see a
thank-you for Rubber Stamp Plantation (Deborah's business), along with
some pictures of the Festival as it was going together the day before
the event. Since these were taken before the crowds arrived (the
next day) it helps you to appreciate what a great location the Arizona
Festival has now obtained. Later, we'll add pictures taken
during the event itself, but our first priority is to give you some
video coverage. That will start with a "quality sampler" below,
so you can have an idea of the additional benefits of downloading the
high definition videos vs. the standard video quality.
One tip on the videos! If
you think you'll want to see them more than once,
download the files to your hard drive, instead of just 'opening .
There's no difference in how much time it takes. They require
Windows Media Player, which most computers have, but it doesn't hurt to
mention that just in case you haven't installed one yet. They're
free, from the Microsoft site, in case you don't presently have it.
Video
Sampler!
Oh, this is
important!
The "video" samples were
taken about 15
minutes before the opening
ceremonies began.
People were still getting seated.
Later in the day,
all the space you see behind the
chairs was jammed
with people sitting on the grass.
There was
barely enough room to walk between them.
This event
seems to have been a fantastic success,
and will probably be
even more well attended next year.
Wow!
Now, on to 'Actual
Videos'
